# Webhooks
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/api-reference/webhooks
Receive real-time call events at your own server endpoints
Webhooks let SuperU push event notifications to your server as calls happen. Instead of polling for status, your server receives an HTTP `POST` request the moment an event fires.
## Available Events
| Event | Description |
| ------------------------------------------------ | -------------------------- |
| [Call Ended](/api-reference/webhooks/call-ended) | Triggered when a call ends |
## Coming Soon
| Event | Description |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Call Started | Triggered when a call is connected |
| Call Failed | Triggered when a call fails to connect or is dropped unexpectedly |
| Voicemail Detected | Triggered when the agent detects it has reached a voicemail |
| Transcription Ready | Triggered when the full transcript of a call is available |
| Call Recording Ready | Triggered when the call recording has been processed and is ready to download |
| Tool Called | Triggered when the agent invokes a tool during a call |
| Human Handoff Requested | Triggered when the agent transfers the call to a human agent |
| Sentiment Analysis Complete | Triggered when post-call sentiment analysis has finished |
| **Account** | |
| Credit Balance Low | Triggered when your credit balance falls below a set threshold |
| Credit Balance Depleted | Triggered when your credit balance reaches zero and calls can no longer be placed |
| Credits Added | Triggered when credits are added to your account |
| Plan Upgraded | Triggered when your account is upgraded to a higher plan |
| Plan Downgraded | Triggered when your account is downgraded to a lower plan |
| API Key Rotated | Triggered when your API key is regenerated |
# Call Ended
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/api-reference/webhooks/call-ended
Triggered when a call ends
SuperU sends a `POST` request to your webhook URL when a call ends.
## Setup
1. Go to [workspace.superu.ai/dashboard/developer](https://workspace.superu.ai/dashboard/developer)
2. Click the **Webhooks** tab
3. Enter your server URL in the **Call Ended** endpoint field (e.g. `https://your-server.com/webhook`)
4. Click **Verify & Save** — SuperU will send a test request to confirm your endpoint is reachable
5. Your server must respond with `200 OK` and echo back the received `call_uuid`:
```json theme={null}
{
"call_uuid": ""
}
```
## Payload
```json theme={null}
{
"call_uuid": "c1a2b3d4-e5f6-7890-abcd-ef1234567890"
}
```
| Field | Type | Description |
| ----------- | ------ | ---------------------------------------- |
| `call_uuid` | string | Unique identifier of the call that ended |
## Response
Your endpoint must return a `200` HTTP status code. Any non-`2xx` response is treated as a failure.
## Example
```python Python theme={null}
from flask import Flask, request, jsonify
app = Flask(__name__)
@app.route("/webhook", methods=["POST"])
def webhook():
data = request.get_json()
call_uuid = data.get("call_uuid")
print(f"Call ended: {call_uuid}")
return jsonify({"call_uuid": call_uuid}), 200
```
```bash cURL theme={null}
curl -X POST https://your-server.com/webhook \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"call_uuid": "c1a2b3d4-e5f6-7890-abcd-ef1234567890"}'
```

# Add Phone Number to an Agent
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/platform-guide/add-phone-number
Purchase and assign phone numbers to your superU AI agents.
Phone numbers are how your superU Voice AI agents connect with real people. Once you buy a number, you can attach it to any agent for inbound or outbound campaigns.
## Why You Need a Number
Every live call made through superU AI runs through a verified phone number. Buying your own number ensures your calls look professional, helps track campaigns, and allows inbound calls to reach your agent directly. You can choose local or international numbers depending on where your customers are.
## Buy a Phone Number
Log in to your superU workspace and go to the **Phone Numbers** tab from the left menu.
Click **"Buy New Number"** after choosing a country or region. You'll see a list of available numbers.
Pick the area that matches your customer base. We offer phone numbers of major countries. For example, if you serve clients in the US, choose a US number for a US-based caller ID.
Once you select a number, review the details and click **Buy Number**. The number will be added to your workspace instantly.
You'll now see your purchased number listed under **Phone Numbers** with its status set to **Active**.
## Connect the Number to Your Agent
**For Outbound Calls:**
Open the **Phone Numbers** tab in your dashboard. Once purchased, assign that number to your outbound agent.
This will be the caller ID shown when your agent makes calls.
**For Inbound Calls:**
Go to the **Campaign** tab in your superU dashboard and create an inbound campaign. Select the **phone number** you've purchased and assign your inbound agent to it.
Once assigned, the campaign status will change to **Active**, and your agent will be ready to **receive live incoming calls**.
Once linked, your AI agent can start making and receiving calls instantly. It will all be visible and trackable from your superU dashboard.
# Build Your First AI Agent
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/platform-guide/build-first-agent
Create your superU AI voice agent from scratch.
Go to the [superU Dashboard.](https://workspace.superu.ai/dashboard) and sign up to your workspace.
Choose how you want to build your agent. You can start from scratch, let AI create one from your brief, or pick a ready-made template to get started quickly.
## Start from Scratch
If you choose to start from a blank agent, you'll begin by setting up the basics: pick a voice, language, and model, then describe what your agent should do. You'll also add the system prompt to define its personality and write the first message it'll say on a call.
Browse the **Voice Library** from the sidebar, filter by provider, gender, or language, and play a few samples to find one that matches your agent's tone and personality. Keep your preferred voice in mind for later since you can change it anytime from your agent settings.
## Test Your Agent
Once your agent is created and published, you can now test how it performs in real time.
Click **"Test AI Agent"** at the top right of your screen. A test window will open where you can choose between **Web Call** (browser-based) or **Phone Call**.
Plug in your **headphones or mic** for a smoother experience and click **"Initiate Call"** to start testing.
Speak naturally or type your questions to check how the agent greets, responds, and follows the script.
If you spot any issues, make quick adjustments in the **System Prompt**, **First Message**, or **Knowledge Base**, then test again. Once your agent sounds polished and natural, you're ready to move on to deploying your agent.
# Create Audience
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/platform-guide/create-audience
Upload and manage your contact list for outbound campaigns.
An audience is your contact list for outbound campaigns. It contains the customer names and phone numbers that your agent will call.
## Upload Your Audience
Head to the **Audience** tab in your superU dashboard.
Upload your CSV file with customer names and phone numbers.
## Map CSV Columns
Map your CSV columns to match the required fields (Name, Phone Number, etc.). Check if you have any validation errors.
Once everything looks correct, create the audience. Your contact list is now ready to be used in campaigns.
You can create multiple audiences for different call lists to make it easier to manage different customer segments or campaigns.
# Create with AI
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/platform-guide/create-with-ai
Let AI create your agent from your brief description.
If you would rather create your agent using our AI's help, then click on 'Create with AI'. Describe the kind of agent you want to build. Share what it should do, who it will talk to, and the tone you want. The assistant will turn your idea into a ready-to-edit draft.
Wait a little while for your agent to be created and you'll be able to see a fully functional agent draft ready for you to publish. Edit as per your wishes and then click on 'Publish'.
# Add Knowledge Base to Your Agent
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/platform-guide/knowledge-base
Create and connect knowledge bases to make your AI agent informed and accurate.
The Knowledge Base is what makes your AI agent sound informed. It's where you store all the product details, FAQs, or support information your agent will use while talking to customers. Think of it as your agent's brain: without it, the agent can talk, but it won't *know* much.
## Create a New Knowledge Base
From the left sidebar, click **Knowledge Base** under the "Build" section.
You'll see a list of all your existing Knowledge Bases. Click **Create Knowledge Base** in the top-right corner to make a new one.
Enter a **Name** for your Knowledge Base (for example, *Genus Product FAQs*).
Add a **Description** that clearly explains what the file contains.
* Example: *This Knowledge Base includes Genus inverter and battery FAQs with product features, model details, and warranty information.*
* **You absolutely need to add an accurate description along with your PDF or CSV file without it, the Knowledge Base will not have enough context to work properly.**
Upload your file by clicking **Choose Files**.
* Supported formats: **CSV** or **PDF**
* File size limit: **10 MB**
Click **Create** once your file is uploaded and description is filled in.
Your Knowledge Base will now appear in the main list.
## Connect Knowledge Base to an Agent
Go to the **Agents** tab.
Open the agent you want to link with this Knowledge Base. On the right panel, click **Knowledge Base**.
Select your new Knowledge Base and click **Save**.

# How to add a Knowledge base
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/video-tutorials/how-to-add-a-knowledge-base
Upload and describe the data that powers your agent during calls.
## Before you start
* Collect the documents, spreadsheets, or PDFs you want the agent to reference.
* Prepare a one-sentence summary that explains what the file contains.
## Watch the video
## What the video covers
The video shows how to upload a knowledge base, choose the right file type, and attach it to your agent. While you attach the file, it encourages you to add a short description so the agent understands what the document is about and can reference it correctly on calls.
You see how to check ingestion status and refresh the content when you upload a new version.
## Expected outcome
You finish with at least one knowledge base attached, a clear description of what it contains, and confidence that your agent can quickly pull facts from the new data during conversations.
# How to create an agent
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/video-tutorials/how-to-create-an-agent
Watch a quick walkthrough that boots an agent with AI or templates.
## Before you start
* Sign in to the [superU Dashboard](https://workspace.superu.ai/dashboard) and open your workspace.
* Choose whether you want to start fresh or pick a template that matches your role.
## Watch the video
## What the video covers
The walkthrough shows how to launch the **Create with AI** assistant for a guided build, or how to browse 100+ ready-made templates and customize one to match your brand. You see how to name the agent, pick its voice, and drop in a concise system prompt that defines its tone.
After you publish, the video walks you through testing the agent using the **Test AI Agent** button so you can hear how it sounds before deploying.
## Expected outcome
You finish the tutorial with a published agent whose voice, prompt, and personality match your vision, and you know exactly which template or AI option to return to when you need a fast refresh.
# How to create an outbound campaign
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/video-tutorials/how-to-create-an-outbound-campaign
See how to set up an outbound campaign, attach a number, and monitor performance.
## Before you start
* Have your contact list ready in CSV form or synced from CRM.
* Choose the agent and caller ID you want to use for the campaign.
## Watch the video
## What the video covers
The walkthrough builds your audience step by step from the contact list, shows how to attach a phone number, and walks you through assigning the agent who will run the calls. You learn how to configure the campaign settings, start the campaign, and track how calls, connects, and outcomes are performing.
It highlights the dashboards you can use to pause, adjust scripts, or reassign numbers if performance dips.
## Expected outcome
When the video ends, you have a live campaign with a defined audience, connected phone number, assigned agent, and a performance view so you can see what to tweak next.
# How to write an effective system prompt
Source: https://docs.superu.ai/video-tutorials/how-to-write-effective-system-prompt
Learn to guide your agent with clear, simple system instructions.
## Before you start
* Open the agent you want to coach in the dashboard.
* Gather a short mission statement or tone guidelines that you want the agent to follow.
## Watch the video
## What the video covers
You see how to write the message your agent follows on every call. The host explains why simple, direct instructions keep the conversation natural and on point, then shows how to list do's and don'ts, set the call structure, and remind the agent to collect key information.
The walkthrough confirms that keeping the prompt under a few sentences makes it easier for the agent to stay consistent while allowing the conversation to flow.
## Expected outcome
You leave the tutorial with a crisp system prompt that defines the agent's role, the voice you expect, and the core flow you want it to follow, so every call feels purposeful.
